My Shining Star I  (Age 5-6)

My Shining Star I is a 12-week beginner piano class specifically designed for students with no prior musical experience.  

Students will be encouraged to sing, create, play games, and participate in interactive activities. Skills taught include:

• Listening skills

• Reading notes from A to G

• Music signs

• Pitch matching

• Echo singing

• Use simple time signatures

• Rhythm

• Fingers number and movement

• Play in a recital, either solo or with the class

My Shining Star II  (Age 5-7)

My Shining Star II  is a 12-week beginner piano class specifically designed for students who completed Shining Shar I.

Students will be continuing to build foundation of music knowledge and education. Skills taught include: 

​

• All above in My Shining Star I

• Play warm-ups with short scales 

• Note-reading extended to one octave from middle C

• Recognize major and minor tonality 

• Play in two hands separately and together

• ​
