Piano Teacher

Talia Wang has been playing piano since she was 4-years-old and sung in choirs since she was 8. With six years of private piano teaching and three years of elementary education under her belt, she continues to dedicate her life to the pursuit of music performance and youth education.

Talia Wang received her Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Music and Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and her Masters in Education and preliminary teaching credential from the University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate she studied music theory, history, and composition, and has herself performed in numerous ensembles, orchestras, piano duos, and for her university choir. In addition, Talia was the music director for the university's co-ed a cappella group, Acquire A Cappella, where she arranged music and coached the group to participate in international collegiate competitions.

Beyond purely musical instruction, Talia has a commitment to education, especially with children. Her experience teaching in elementary classrooms, coupled with her private piano performance and music theory instruction, reflect her passion to inspire a love for the musical arts in young minds. Talia is thrilled to be a part of Cadence Academy of Music, where she will continue to support all students in their musical pursuits.

In her free time, Talia enjoys going on hikes, traveling, and trying new foods. As a music enthusiast (of course!) she enjoys attending concerts and performances of all genres. She also loves to strum her ukulele. She’s always eager to pick up new chords and add a little extra melody to life!
