Voice/Piano Teacher

  • Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance; University of California, Davis

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from the University of California, Davis in 2022. My musical training began in China at the age of eight, where I studied traditional vocal techniques before developing proficiency in Western music, including classical voice, music theory, and musicianship. During my undergraduate studies, I presented two solo recitals of approximately thirty and sixty minutes, performing repertoire spanning Baroque opera, oratorio, art song, and musical theatre.

Following graduation, I continued my studies in piano and earned the ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance certification. I currently teach piano and voice to students ages four to thirty, emphasizing individualized instruction and vocally healthy technique. I employ diverse resources including popular piano pieces by Faber, Bastien, Alfred, Schaum, as well as works by Chenier and Hanon. This extensive exposure has broadened my professional network and enriched my teaching resources. I have assisted in organizing more than ten recitals and independently directed two student recitals featuring approximately twenty performers.

Through my teaching, I aim to cultivate technical proficiency, creativity, confidence, and a lasting appreciation for music. “ Where words fail, music speaks.” – Hans C. Andersen. I love music and I believe music motivates human emotions, music gives happiness. I want to keep exploring music skills and spreading the magical energy to my students.
